"Picture of the Year"

This came from an e-mail I got this morning...thought it was pretty cute!

Best big brother EVER

I came around the corner the other day and found this:

Despite the sweetness of the act, John Morgan's eyes say it all!

Attention All Cell Phone Users:

Particularly if you just upgraded 4 months ago

And definitely if you decided not to get insurance this time around (because nothing had ever happened to any of your other phones...false sense of security)

And especially if it has tons of pictures and videos of your little kiddos from when they were (and are) babies.

Boo on cell phones...dropping so randomly into the toilet!

Levi Counting

Levi counts to 3 all the time (usually in the right order, lol), but tonight, he showed off how he can count on his fingers (sort of):

(Nevermind the food on his chin - it was dinner time!)

Our favorite part is him at the end, exclaiming "yes!"

Fun at the Zoo!

We're not typically the spontaneous kind. But a couple weeks back, Joe-Z said "Hey, let's take the boys to the Zoo!"

They had So. Much. Fun!

We'll let the pictures speak for themselves:

After we put him into the car, Levi cried for about a minute and a half solid...then silence. I turned around to see this:

Nothing like a family outing to the zoo.

Good times!

I made this one for one of Joe-Z's co-worker's birthday. Unfortunately, Joe-Z was sick the next day and couldn't take it in, and the day after that was their office's golf tournament. I didn't want to send in old cake, so I'm hoping a picture will suffice!

We were thinking of you Rob...
Happy Birthday!

(If you can't tell, it's a golf cake. Rob loves to golf!)

Lend me your opinion...

Have you ever heard the word "nummy" before?
How about "num, num?"

For example:

Me: "Levi, do you like this applesauce? Isn't it nummy?"

Levi: "Mmmm...num, num!"

Joe-Z swears that he's "used to it now, but I'd never heard it 'till I met you..."

What say you...?

More cakes...

As most of you know, my Mom has breast cancer...or at least she did (although, according to her, she's still got residule "chemo brain," lol). She had to have a double mastectomy.

I made this "bra cake" (inspired by one I'd seen my sister-in-law make) to celebrate her getting her implants in...the last surgery she needed!

And this one was made for the daughter of one of Joe-Z's co-workers. She turned one! Happy Birthday Gracie!

Sorry the pictures are kinda low-quality...wrong camera and no backdrop!

Best Buds

These boys have so much fun together! John Morgan thinks Levi is the funniest thing! And Levi loves to try to pick John Morgan up and is always giving him hugs!

2 Milestones in 2 days!

So, John Morgan turned 3 months old on Monday...a big thing in and of itself. However, much to our joy and amazement, he slept through the night Sunday night to Monday morning! Yay! We're hoping it's not just a fluke (last night he had 1 middle-of-the-night feeding, still much better than the normal 2 to 3)!

Then this morning, at his Physical Therapy appointment, he rolled over! Woo-Hoo! He did it 6 times, once to the left and 5 times to the right! He's getting so big so fast...

Here's a short clip of him at P.T.
(Sorry for the poor quality, I had to catch it quick on my cell phone.)

A Matter of Perspective

So, I found a great post tonight on the role of a homemaker, something I've been thinking about a lot lately. It's so nice to hear (or read, lol) about a situation you can relate to and gain perspective from others who have already crossed the road you're just coming up to. That's why I love this church. I love Relief Society and the opportunity that a group of women have to get together each week to sit in a room and share stories and advice and experience and bounce ideas off of eachother. And, since I'm in Young Women right now, I love blogging, and the blogger world, and the chance it gives us to learn from others in a non-traditional sense!

So take 2 minutes, this post is very worth your time!

No real reason...

Just because he's so stinkin cute.
(Who's he laughing at here? Why, Levi of course!)

And so is he!

And that one (the tall, dark and handsome one), he ain't so bad himself either!

Tummy Time with Mommy

John Morgan loves his Tummy Time! Especially on the exercise ball!

All grown up

Sometimes I look at my little Levi and see a big boy looking back. So often I wonder where the time has gone, and how I can get it back.

Maybe that's how the world stays populated. Mommy's see their little children growing up and can't stand the thought, so they decide to have another little one to watch grow up, and the process just repeats itself.

All I know is that my children are my joy. I love being a mother. I know that's what I came here to be a Mom. I personally think that there is no greater title that the world can offer me than "Mom."
