What we did this weekend

And it was beautiful!

This picture didn't capture the "excited face" I was hoping for, lol. They love to walk around and see the flowers and the fountains, and point to the angel on the top. And of course, Levi and John Morgan love to touch the temple walls!

At the beginning of the year, we decided to set a goal of attending the temple once a month this year (although I think my last trip will be late August or extremely early September). So far, we're achieving our goal!

We're loving how Levi loves the temple and gets so excited to be there! Our prayer is that by going each month, he (and the rest of the kids to follow) will see the sacrifices we make and the joy it brings, and that their love and appreciation and testimony of the importance of the temple and the work we do there will grow and grow.

The First of Many

We love where Joe-Z works. There's a fun little park that's literally a 1 minute drive from his office. We meet him for lunch on days the kids are going to take a late nap for some reason or another.

The kids love this park, and always have fun playing there. There's always a bit of a power-struggle though, because the park also has a baseball field...and you know my boys (especially Levi) and baseball!

For some reason, while at the park one day last week, we decided Levi was just too cute to say no to. He was trying to sneak in, and when I saw him, he maintained eye contact with me while he kept going down the stairs to the dugout, nodding his head "yes" as if to assure me that it was okay, lol.

Such a big field, such a little {big} boy.

All in all, we had a blast!

Lunch at the park with Dad

We went to meet Joe-Z for lunch last week and decided to spend our extra 20 minutes at the park just up the road. It was a blast. These boys love their daddy!

Joe-Z had today off in observance of Veteran's Day. We had a super-fun day!

John Morgan went down the slide for the first time! He loved it!

Joe-Z made a fun observation while we were there. He LOVED that he was able to wear shorts and a tee shirt to the park in November!

Fun at the Zoo!

We're not typically the spontaneous kind. But a couple weeks back, Joe-Z said "Hey, let's take the boys to the Zoo!"

They had So. Much. Fun!

After we put him into the car, Levi cried for about a minute and a half solid...then silence. I turned around to see this:

Nothing like a family outing to the zoo.
